| On my birthday, while working intensely on a strategic plan with my NGO, I received a phone call from my Country Director asking if I would apply to host an event "for a VIP". The rest of the month was spent on the application, meeting with secret service personnel and advance team members, and preparing to host an event for Former President Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. |
